About
By kids, for kids.
Hypetyke is run by Henry(9), Colin(7), & their dad(big number).
Together we make 3D printed handles to turn pool noodles into foam swords.
This started when Henry said, "I'm bored," after a full day of stimulation. With summer break coming up, the boys needed to stay busy. Hypetyke was started to keep our kids off screens, learn business, and afford braces for Henry because our dental plan is suck.

Here's what our family realized. Retractable, hard plastic play swords hurt on contact and break too fast.
But dollar store pool noodles...soft enough that nobody gets hurt, satisfying enough that it still feels like a real battle. The problem is they flop around with no hilt and no grip. So we designed some handles, fired up our 3D printer, and solved the problem ourselves.
Now when the noodle wears out, you grab a new one for a dollar and keep going. Just a handle that lasts and a foam blade that's cheap to replace.
We like making things that get kids off the couch and into the backyard.
Our kids stay busy making it. Yours stay busy swinging it. Everybody wins.
